Services: CMHA Central Region provides a number of housing-related services to help people with mental illness choose, obtain, and maintain housing in the community. We offer services that both prevent and alleviate homelessness or unstable housing. At CMHA Central Region we know having a roof over one's head is the first step toward recovery, and we try our best to offer a full menu of services to ensure that this happens. Eligibility: in order to qualify for SUBSIDIZED housing from the DOFNHAI or Dakota Tribal Council Housing Authority Inc. applicants must: 1. Be of Aboriginal descent, includes: Métis, Inuit, Status and Non-Status. 2. Have dependent children living at home. 3. Have an income on or below the state allowed maximum amount. 4. Eligibility must meet the core need income threshold. **Above requirements do not apply to Market Rent housing applications**

Services: PFC Housing Inc. works at providing housing to Aboriginal families. Helping Aboriginal families through their transitional phase from a reserve setting to an urbanized setting.

Services: Reaching Home is a community-based program aimed at preventing and reducing homelessness for families, adults and youth. Reaching Home creates a support team for each of its participants that is personalized to their needs. They work together with the participant and landlords to find safe, stable and affordable housing for the client.
